Uncle Clark has been visiting us and Cape has LOVED every minute of it. Already, anything he does is cooler than what Mom and Dad do. It's fun to see him enjoy his uncle so much. Cape's favorite thing to do right now is use the water hose to water the back yard. He soaks himself, hence being stripped down.

At the end of May Cape had his 1 year check up and shots. Poor thing had so many shots! He weighed in at 18.8 lbs, and height at 29.75". Healthy kiddo, AMEN! We then headed to Frisco to visit cousins, and the guys in our families went to the Byron Nelson Tournament. Although we had a really long late night drive there, we had a good time swimming, cooking out, and playing with the girls. Cape even got a ride in the doll stroller. Then we headed back home. The drive home went much smoother than the one there...thank goodness! I need pics from Aunt Colleen and Uncle Paul to post here...I didn't make it home with 1!

| Wake up! Time for the Dr.! |
We celebrated Kyle's 29th birthday last Sunday, with dinner at Texas Roadhouse, and dessert at our casa. It was a fun evening with family to celebrate a very special man! When we returned from our Vegas trip we were surprised to find a NEW grill for his birthday! We are super pumped! Thanks to all who contributed!
Kyle and I headed to Vegas on his birthday for a little vacation time mixed with a little work. Kyle attended the Clean Show Convention until about lunch each day. I just walked around our hotel, The NY NY, and was lazy until I met Kyle for lunch. Our hotel was great with lots to do and plenty of places to eat...even a big roller coaster, which we rode our last night there. We went to our first Cirque du soleil show, Mystere, and LOVED it! The things they can do are amazing! We walked and walked the strip. I mean I think we seriously walked close to 18 miles in 3 days! We had a blast together, and so enjoyed our time as a couple. But, I will say we were soooo glad to get home and see Cape. He had stayed at home with Susan and Clark the first 2 nights and then with my parents the last night. It was my first time away from him and out of town since he was born, and it was hard for me, but really good for me as well. Feb- April was a hard and bit of sad time for our little Wooldridge family. Only God knows His plan for our lives, and that is hard to accept sometimes, but He is good in all times and has pulled us through. We are standing on this side stronger in faith, and knowledge that His plan is and will be better than our own. We were blessed to know that we could take some time for "us" while our son was well taken care of back home. Thanks to all our parents for loving on our boy while we were away! I know he had so much fun!

ReplyDeleteSweet Amber, what a beautiful family you have! Cape is just a doll and I know it is so amazing to watch him grow! I know you have had a hard time... I can completely relate. It is hard, and you never totally get over it... you just move forward. God has AWESOME plans for your family, just remember that. Love you, Jess
