1 mOnTh oLd!!

Firsts............

*first time we met our baby boy in the outside world
*first time we suddenly knew how much you can love someone instantly
*first feedings were hard
*first hugs and kisses were heaven
*first diaper changes.....challenging.......who knew a tiny little thing could reach over his head over the changing table and onto the comforter all in about a 1/2 second??
*first cries were heart breaking
*first car ride home was windy

*first night at home was looong and scary (mommy cried)
*first time feeding wasn't hard it was amazing
*first big toothless grin.......so sweet
*first doctor's visit was a relief because Cape had gained weight
*first time mommy drove by herself with Cape in the car.....I never knew I would drive soooo carefully

*first yawns....precious
*first time we knew he could really see us and locked eyes.....priceless
*first bouncy time......fell asleep
*first swing time....loved it!

*first real bath.....loves warm water....hates the rest of the bath experience right now
*first outing......Babies-R-Us

*first lunch out............with daddy at Taco Villa after his heel prick :(
*first visits from LOTS of people
*first trip to church he had WIDE eyes through praise and worship and then fell asleep
*first tree planted (new tree) in Cape's honor
*first time we figured out that no matter what he will fall asleep to the sound of the blow dryer....thankful!

First month of life with our sweet angel has been one of the biggest life changing experiences, and also the best and such a big blessing. I am so blessed to have my best friend share in this exciting, frustrating, exhausting, exhilarating, miraculous, joyful time. It truly does go by so fast. By the time I stopped crying every time I thought of how much I love Cape William, he was already almost a month old. It seems like we just left the hospital. I hope I never forget the way I felt this first month. Cape we love you and are so proud to be your Mommy and Daddy.
