Because we were heading off to Amarillo for Christmas for several days, we celebrated with my Dad, Mom, Bran, Keith, and Cam on Tuesday. Mom made a very TASTY dinner and we sat and talked and opened gifts. We love you all! We did get to spend some time with both sides of my grandparents also, which was nice.
Wednesday we finally made it out of Lubbock (2.5 hours behind schedule) and headed for Amarillo. We went to see "Seven Pounds" with Will Smith......let's just say if you haven't seen it it is the ultimate Christmas movie. You might not think so at first, but after it sinks in you will see why. Paul and Colleen and Mallory got in town Christmas Day, and we were so excited to see them. Mallory has gotten so big and she is so cute. Her wave is the cutest one I've ever seen! Mama and Papa were not able to make it and we missed them, but other than that mostly everyone was there and it was so nice to see them. We ate (again!) a delicious turkey dinner and visited with family. Clark got in Friday for Mallory's baptism on Saturday. Although she cried through most of it, she was very sweet and precious to watch. The one bummer was that I got some sort of tummy bug while we were in Amarillo, but it must have been only a 24 hour one, because I am now much better.
God is so good to us to have sent us His son Jesus in whom our fate is sealed if we only accept His gift. So, I hope you all had a Merry Little Christmas, and celebrated the best birthday ever!
