Cape understood a little more about Christmas this year, so that made it so much more fun. He could tell you a little about Mary and Joseph and
baby Jesus and that Christmas is Jesus's birthday. Our elf, Bing, came to
watch Cape's behavior through the holidays, and each morning we had fun
searching for his new hiding spot. We rode the Polar Express with Daddy, Uncle Cam, La'la, and Papa Gary. Cape loved it this year! Yummy hot chocolate and cookies; what's not to love! We also drove around with hot chocolate looking at Christmas lights. Family memories in the making! Because I was only one month away
From my due date Ted and Susan so kindly came to stay with us Christmas
Eve. We made sugar cookies for Santa and Cape helped decorate them. We went to Nana and Papa's for a delicious dinner and fun. It was so nice to see lots of family. The kids received books from everyone as gifts which was nice. Cape played "chase the grinch" with Rylieann and Graham. They had so much fun running back and forth. We woke up to a white Christmas
morning and cape was so excited to get to celebrate Jesus birthday and
open presents. I was in charge of making Christmas breakfast for the
first time in my life and I think it turned out pretty good. Ted and
Kyle worked all morning building Cape's new train set, and we all had fun
watching Cape and just relaxing. Lolli and pops left around naptime to
head back to Amarillo to have lunch with Grandma. That evening Kyle, Cape, and I went to Mom and Dad's house for dinner. Graham, Harper, and Cape had a blast together.
It was capes first Christmas to get to spend with any first cousins.
Overall we had a wonderful Christmas as a family, and are so grateful
that God sent his son to be born. Rejoice!
